One Year Pictures Round TWO

This week we tried for a second time to get Adriana's 1 year photos taken...and we did have some success...although it was not easy.

We arrived a little early so she could walk around...get comfortable and it was working. Right until we got settled into our room and changed into our outfit, she saw the camera girl and freaked out. At first I thought it was the girl, and then I realized it was the camera and the flash. Adriana would not let go of me and continued to whine. Now another photographer has entered the room trying to help. After about 15 minutes the photographer looks at me and says..."I think its time for us to try, would you mind leaving the room?" As much as I hated to do it, I had to step out. Adriana was not sobbing, just whining so I felt it was okay...and IT WAS! I stood outside of the room in the lobby and just listened to these two girls act awfully crazy trying everything and anything to get my daughter to laugh and smile. They even did all the outfit and hairbow changes. At one point Adriana would not get off the girls lap so she held a black sheet over her head to get a good shot...and it worked. After all was said and done, I went back into the room and found Adriana smiling as happy as can be! I was so excited to see the pictures because I had no idea how the photo shoot went. They were able to get some really cute shots. Please note that these pictures are from the CD and I can not for the life of me figure out how to crop some of them...so if you see something’s in the picture that should not be there, like a photographers foot..Just ignore them. I know crazy.

We even had some cute pictures of Luke. All of the Luke pictures were taken the first time around.  He was all about the camera.

These were the good ones...next I will post the not so good ones.

Adriana is ONE...Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my Sweet Adriana! 

There are so many things about you that I love....just to name a few....

I love that most mornings Luke and I will race to your room to see who will be the first to say "Good Morning Sweetie"

I love that you keep a straight face when your hair is over your eyes and then as soon as I move it so you can see, you SMILE real big...almost like playing Peek-a-boo

I Love that everyone says you look like Nonna or Auntie Rose

I love that you give tight tight hugs & big wet kisses

I love that your first word was Dada..and that you only say MaMa when you are crying or hurt

I love that you have so much hair and it just keeps growing and growing.  It just fits you, I can't imagine you without it.

I love that your smile brightens up a room and every day of the week.

I love that you laugh when I tickle your neck

I love that you want to follow Luke everywhere

I love that you are my sweet little Ade or Aid - we just can't figure out how to spell your nickname but I love it!

I love that you are my daughter!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADRIANA!

Adriana is not the only one celebrating a birthday today....Mandy Chack was also born on 4/20!  Happy Birthday Mandy!

Adriana's 1 year old pictures...a little early

I decided to get a head start on Adriana's one year pictures, since I slacked on mostly all of the other months...sorry second child syndrome...absolutley horrible.  Anyway I packed a couple of cute outfits and a bunch of hairbows and we headed to Portrat Innovations for our photo shoot. 

There was one really cute one with her tutu on...but she had a face full of tears..


Oh and there was another one of Adriana & Luke, but she had tears and snots all over her face (gross I know)

And yet another one with a boa and pearls.....but by now she has her mouth wide open, tears flying everywhere and a beat red face...

There was also a picture of me trying to pry the Clinger off my leg...

Where are the pictures you might ask...WE DID NOT GET ONE SINGLE HAPPY SHOT...NOT ONE.

Our little girl has turned into a Beyonce right before our eyes...she would not cooperate at all with the photograher. We were there an hour and I did not see one single picture because it was not worth my time.

Now I can't decided was Adriana having a bad day or is this how its going to be...Should we try one more time???? Arrrggggggghhhhhh!

Luke & Adriana...so similar yet so different...

So they say you should not compare your children....but as the days go by I am constantly saying to myself..."wow they are so similar"....or "oh my God they are so different". By comparing them I am in no shape or form saying I think one is better than the other...I am just merely comparing their personalities, milestones etc. I feel it is necessary to write this stuff down in my blog since I am horrible at keeping up with their baby books and feel that this blog is their insight as to what it was like when they were younger..Okay now I am just babbling .you get the point. Hopefully when they are older and are reading this they will appreciate these fun tidbits about themselves...I know that I get a kick out of how different and similar me and my siblings are (Don't worry Ang, Fran, Rose & Dom, I will not get into it, just know that I am #1...always have been and always will be!) Moving on....

Luke & Adriana's Similarities

They both have somewhat similar sleeping habits - which I heard they get from their mother - GREAT!
*Adriana did not sleep through the night until almost 9 mths

* Luke did a little better sleeping through the night finally around 6-7 months.but is a champ now!!

Both got their teeth very early (around 3 months)

Both walked very early...Luke does take the cake on this one walking at 10 mths, Adriana at 11mths

Both very loveable

Lots of energy

Never! ....Ever! sit still...neither of my kids were ones to just chill on your lap. - Drives me crazy a little bit

Lots of hair at birth - we all know Adriana had quite a bit more...but both definitely gave me tons of heartburn during pregnancy!!!

 

Luke & Adriana's Differences

 

Adriana loves the tuti (pacifier) - Luke wanted nothing to do with them

Luke not really shy at all , in fact he will scream "Hi There, Where are you going" to a random person driving by...something I am trying to fix- Adriana very shy with strangers

Luke very independent - Adriana Stage 5 Clinger!!!

Luke horrible napper -would cry for 45 minutes before falling asleep - Adriana beautiful napper...hardly ever cries...just rolls over and goes to sleep.

Luke - very picky eater - Adriana - so far so good. She pretty much eats whatever I put in front of her

Luke’s teeth are perfectly straight...Adriana almost perfect.one is a little crooked - sorry sweets!

Luke out of his infant car seat by 10 months - Adriana still rocking it!

Luke was a chunky monkey, Adriana not as chunky

With all of their similarities and differences I love them both the same and would not change one thing about them!!!! It think it is kind of neat to see how similar and different siblings are.

Should We Get A Haircut???

NO WAY..NOT YET!!! 

We are letting it grow nice and long..no bangs yet!

My parents gave me this picture from when Brian and I were out of town. They just could not beleive that this was what Adriana looks like in the morning. Well I can assure you..this is exactly what she looks like every morning I go into her room to get her up.  The Crazy thing about it is that she is not bothered by her hair in her face whatsoever!!!!  I have never seen her move her hair out of her face or away from her eyes...its hilarious!

Easter Part 2

More pictures from Easter...we are finally at the actual day....After searching for eggs that the Easter Bunny  left, we all got dressed to head out to church..but tried our hardest to get some pictures of us dressed up. This always seems to be a challenge.

I had to post this picture because I have about 20 of these on my camera...Adriana refusing to take a picture...and her dress was so big, fluffy and ADORABLE, but she would not let me get a good shot of her in it!

Second generations of cousins...they spent most of the afternoon and evening playing in the basement...this probably was the only time I saw Luke...he was having so much fun!

Easter Part 1

Finally Easter pictures!!!!!!  A week or two before Easter we met up with all of our friends for Breakfast with the Easter Bunny.  We waiting in line to sit on his lap and once it was our turn Luke wanted nothing to do with the Bunny...He was so scared of him! I think Adriana had no clue what was going on...so she sat on his lap. You can see by her face she is a little unsure about what is going on, but was a trooper. After watching all the other kids sit on his lap and his baby sister, Luke decided he wanted too try it...so we waited in line again...only for him to back out as soon as it was our turn. Needless to say, we have no pictures of Luke with the Easter Bunny.

But he did enjoy the Easter Egg Hunt....Luke and Ellie waited so patiently  for it to start!

And waiting and waited for the Easter Bunny..I swear every night Luke would ask me if he was coming and I would have to say...No in 8 sleeps..6 sleeps....4 sleeps....poor thing he was so excited. So finally he came and left lots of goodies...Funny he did not leave baskets this time, but bowls..hmmmm strange but they are great for popcorn...which we LOVE!

Adriana Loves her baby doll high chair...if only she would let her baby doll sit in it!

I am totally behind on blogging....so lets go back to March....I want to wish my parents a VERY HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY.  The are the perfect match...their birthdays are even one day apart! We all got together at my parents home to celebrate!

Since we got together right before Easter, Nonna gave all the kids their easter baskets....all the girls baskets had tutu's attached and the boys were Spongebob...of course I could not get Luke to sit still for a picture...but I got one of Adriana...Thank you Nonnna & Nonno
