She arrived via scheduled C-section on Monday morning. It was so crazy waking up, dropping Luke off at my Moms, and knowing that we were going to the hospital to deliver a baby in a couple of hours. We arrived at the hospital to find it a little crazy...they were expecting 9 women to deliver babies that day...it was so busy we were unable to get our own room to prepare for surgery so they put us in a Recovery room. It was a little exciting and scary at the same time, we watched women being rolled into the surgery room, and then moments later we would hear a baby cry. Then see the new Mom being rolled out of the room and into recovery. This made us very anxious.....and for me very nervous. We did finally get into a labor room, sat there for maybe 20 minutes and then it was our turn. I walked right into the delivery room, hoped on the table and let the doctors do their work. After all the prepping it only took about 4 minutes to deliver Adriana. She cried right away....and I let out a huge sigh of relief...Brian walked over to me and said....SHE IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! And he is right....from the moment we laid eyes on her we fell in love...just like when we had Luke.
Since she has come into our world we just can't stop starring at her. She is everything I could have asked for....healthy baby, cute as a button and came out with TONS and I mean TONS of hair. Just enough to place a cute tiny little bow in her hair for all her visitors. I have tons of pictures so this may be a couple of posts long.....now on to the pictures....
Even though I am not super excited about the way I look in this picture...it is probably one of my favorite from this past week. The first time I was able to sit with both of my angels...my Lukey Bear and Sweet Adriana (It is too early for me to have a nickname for her, but I am sure I will come up with something).
Brother & Sister. Luke loves her so much. He loves to hold her and touch her hair! He gives her hugs and kisses constantly and always wants to hold her. He is already such a big helper with diapers, bottles etc. It melts my heart to see him be so gentle with her!

Finally a family of Four! Another favorite picture of mine
It took the nurse a whole sample size shampoo and 3 washings to get her hair clean.
Jess C came the closest to winning the Expect Game! Funny thing about this is that Adriana's weight & length is identical to Jess's daughter Ellie...how cute! Ahhh can't wait for them to meet.
Also I wanted to send out a HUGE thank you to my Mom and Brian's Mom for taking care of Luke while we were in the hospital. They flip flopped every day and I am sure he kept them on their toes. Thank you for being there for us, we are so lucky to have you both in our lives.

Baby Update
Just a quick update...I went to the doctor yesterday....everything seems to be the same...heart rate 142, only dilated 1/2 centimeter.
Monday it the big day!!!!!!
Also just for fun the doctor said she has been on a kick with guessing the weight...she said she was pretty right on with the last two deliveries....so docs guess is 8lbs, 10 oz. Me on the other hand am sticking to my 7lbs, 11oz guess.
TIME WILL TELL!!!!

38 Weeks
I have done a horrible job at getting pictures of my growing belly during this pregnancy so a big Thank You goes out to my Mom for snapping this shot of me on Easter. This is probably the last pregnant picture you will see of me........ We are down to the final days!!!

I am now 38 weeks and surprisingly feel pretty good. Just a little uncomfortable because there is no room left for this little one. She has pretty much taken over the whole upper half of my body. One minute it will seem like she is starting to drop and I can breathe easier....and then I am brought right back to reality with a leg or something shoving into my lungs. Honestly, the only other issue I seem to be having is heartburn ,OMG is it getting bad. She better have a full head of hair on her. I will be so happy once this is over.
Other than that we are ready to go in our house...just patiently waiting and trying to soak up as much time with Luke as possible before he becomes a big brother and not our only child. Its a crazy thought I keep having thinking of how this is the last week we will be a family of three, but looking so forward to us growing with two kids and becoming four!
At this moment I am anxious and nervous all at the same time....I am so ready to meet this little girl...what will she look like? what will her disposition be? constant praying she will be healthy....and then the nerves step in..OMG two kids....will I remember how to take care of an infant? ...will I be able to give Luke and Adriana both the attention they deserve and need? How am I ever going to be able to go anywhere with and infant and a toddler......seriously the list can go on and on! All in all I am trying to do my best to stay optimistic and know that somehow ....someway....I will be able to handle all the blessings that are given to me!

Decorating Easter Cookies
Auntie Sara and Bella invited us over to decorate Easter Cookies yesterday. We had so much fun. This was a new experience for me.....not the decorating, but the actual baking of the Sugar Cookies. I can not seem to remember a time when I rolled out cookie dough and used cookie cutters. Let me just say that we did not make the sugar cookies from scratch...store bought dough. It took us a few tries to get the cute little bunnies and flowers to come off the cookie cutters perfectly and into the oven, and we were shocked at how much they grew once in the oven. The first batch....huge cookies which was great for the kids to decorate but they ended up looking more like big blobs instead of chicks, eggs and bunnies.
We definitely got better as with the second and third batch...but we did not care...we had a great time. Luke and Bella really got into it!

Getting Ready for the Easter Bunny
I can tell Luke is getting so big because he is starting to get the concept of the Easter Bunny coming to our house. All he keeps saying is that he wants a SpiderMan skate board and Spider Man Helmet. .....um what, I swear I don't know where he comes up with these things....I do remember him seeing a little boy at the park with this but that was one time...what a memory on this kid.
He sat for about 6 seconds with these ears on....he does not look happy and totally reminds me of Ralphie from the Christmas Story movie. Hahahah

Callie is such a good sport...she sat longer with the ears on than Luke!

Getting Ready...
AS OF TODAY WE HAVE TWO WEEKS TO GO!!!!!!!!
We are getting ready....Most of the baby gear is up from the basement.....well at least the stuff we are going to use right away...Its so weird, my mind is flooded with memories of putting this stuff together when we had Luke. I can still picture him swinging in the swing and in the bouncer and now he looks so grown up next to them. Poor kid, he wants to climb in the swing and rock so bad.

Here is the bassinet....we used this for about a week with Luke - he grew out of it so fast and only stayed in our room for maybe a week.
I have a feeling Adriana will only be in our room and in the bassinet for a couple of days. But its worth bringing it up and having her next to me....especially with a c-section.

Diapers...OMG I am not sure if you can tell from this picture but the size difference is hilarious...Newborn vs 6's...please God..help me get Luke Potty training...two kids in diapers ....uggh!
Our NEW bouncy seat. Thank you Rose & Chris for giving us the Rainforest Bouncy seat. We have an old one that I registered for and used with Luke but I am not a big fan of it. This one I have been eyeing for quite some time! THANK YOU!!!!

Bottles are sterilized and put away. Baby toys are all clean and ready...Her room is almost done..still looking for a rug and a lamp shade. All of her clothes are clean...I think we are ready.

The only things that I still have left on my list is to put the pack n play up....purchase some Milicon (a must) and Burp Rags....and that's it. I keep asking myself...am I really this prepared??? Oh and Luke is finally realizing that a baby is coming...he keeps pointing to her room and the swing saying "that's for my sister" its too cute....he just will not acknowledge her name. He insists that her name is Gianna. Ha!
Coloring Easter Eggs
Easter is just around the cornor so we colored eggs! I babysat my niece and nephew Anthony & Gianna on Saturday so we decided to color eggs together. Auntie Rose even stopped by to join in the fun.
